Arariel, the patron angel of the natural world, the four earthly elements, and the waters, is often female. In “Arariel in the Moors,” I have depicted Arariel, as a male standing guard in the Provincetown Moors. To reach the safe space of the queer beach, one must walk through the Moors. Araiel and the water protects the area from adverse interlopers.
